Aug, 2007, we are into our 5th printed issue and support SA Music
passionately. Everyone one wants to be the king of something! We are
rather the gravel and the soil of the grrit under the soles of the
fans, not the "flavour of the month."Our core focus is ALT
music from Rock, Metal to HXC/Hardcore, Metal-core, Grind-Core, Punk
with lashings of Indie and Stand-up Comedy. We report on new music and
artists both signed and unsigned that are distributed in RSA - and many
that are not & you need to listen to and find. We are journalists,
soothsayer, promoters and alcoholic, coffee drinkers. GRRIT is
100% independent and we aren't told what to write by "HQ" .We have a
team of writers around SA in Durban, Jo'burg, Cape Town, London and
Brighton(U.K) currently.Our editor is an internationally published
columnist for the SA Times, & South African News in Europe as well
as slew of magazines over the years. We also offer advice from
recording studio's, P.R gurus and venues to artists and hopefully help
promote and change the SA Music scene for the better. We work with the
worlds biggest labels and South Africa's best we even support the new
local band from down the road, we love them all and bring the news.
Currently distributed through various industry agents and stores in
KZN, JHB and CPT in Look and Listens, Idols, Burn Nightclub and other
independent stores. We where at Splashy 2008 and will see you at the
